Happy November! I just saw the first freeze advisory for my area. Which makes this the perfect weekend for enjoying whatever you favorite hot beverage is, and snuggling down for a holiday read.
Although, in my case, the kitties may want some attention too. See distractions 1 and 2 below.
I’ve got several holiday reads lined up on my Kindle. I just finished Merry Little Wishing Spritz by Cherie Colyer. If you’re looking for a warm and cozy, holiday, witchy type magic story, this is the perfect book for you. I loved Cassie, her kitty smudge and the book store setting, About to loser her home and job, Cassie uses a little magic in the form of wish cookies. Well, it doesn’t quite work out like Cassie thinks when a hunky guy is the one behind the demolishing. I love a trope that’s adversaries to lovers, and this one will touch your heart. You may crave peppermint lattes and cookies by the happily ever after ending.
Next up and my current read is Spellbooks and Shortbread by Denis D. Young. It’s another fantasy holiday story which I’m looking forward to diving into. And after that is Macaroons By Moonlight by Annette Miller.
My contribution to the Christmas Cookies Series is coming out December 6. Not a Chocolate Snowball’s Chance in Hades and is probably a little on the fringe of this series as it’s a spicy, humorous tale of Persephone and Hades with most definitely hot love scenes. The Olympian Duel of Yule baking contest turns up the heat in the kitchen and for this couple. Whose cookie will win the prize of Zeus’ favor? Persephone knows her Chocolate Snowballs are a winner. Hades disagrees, bragging about his blood orange crisps. An unexpected trip to the underworld proves to Persephone, Hades wants more than cookies. And maybe she’ll win more than the Duel of Yule

Now I'm off to read more wonderful holiday stories and hope you will too. Have a great weekend!
