Happy New Year

Here we are at the end of 2021 and what a year!

I think it's so easy to focus on bad things and so much on social media seems to do that. But 2021 had some nice things as well.

Movies in theatres came back in time for releases of some fantastic films. Marvel gave us Black Widow, Shang Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings, The Eternals, and Spider Man No Way Home. Dune was released which was a gorgeous adaptation of the Frank Herbert novel. I loved the very fun Disney film Jungle Cruise. Disney Plus released tons of series in both Marvel and Star Wars verse that provided fun conversations and a nice break from real world hardships.

Not 100% happy but another fun diversion were the memes from the Ever Given stuck in the Suez Canal. Isn't it funny how a story like that can unite us in a head shaking how did that happen moment!.

The Olympics were certainly a mixed bag of cheering and compassion.

Personally for me, it was a busy year with work, publishing and home projects with only a few health crisis. The very exciting, big thing was The Wild Rose Press publishing Not a Chocolate Snowball's Chance in Hades as part of their Christmas Cookies series. I learned tons from my editor, other authors and the big social media curve.

One of the bonuses was reading and following all the authors in this series. Such a huge highlight and reading shorter stories was wonderful given how much my job ate up my time. Sometimes it's nice to whip through a feel good story in the few hours I had for downtime. I hope all of enjoyed some of these lovely books :)
